World Rhythms

World Rhythms Steel Drum Ensemble

 

World Rhythms is a class offering that has been at Miller Jr. High for around nearly 30 years. This class is about exploring music and instruments from other parts of the world. This class in the past has traditionally focused on steel drums as the defining instrument for this ensemble, in addition to Brazilian samba drums. This year we have been experimenting with having the ukulele be included in our learning about musical instruments from around the world. I look forward to the future of this class and how far it could potentially develop.
