About Me

I have been teaching at Miller Junior High School for 18 years. I obtained my BA in mathematics from Whitworth College in Spokane, and a MA in education from The University of Portland. My hobbies include hiking, cross country skiing, gardening, reading, playing my bassoon, singing in a church praise band, and playing with my 5 birds. I also love to travel!! I enjoy sharing this love of traveling with students through my WWET club Saturday trips and Washington DC and Boston/NYC trips the last full week of June of each year.

Askerr, a Jardine parrot, is playing with a toy. She my leap year baby. Askherr says, "cookie" and whistle.

Whiska, a sun conure, is beautiful, but is very noisy. She says "good-bye" and "pretty bird."
